Terms of Service
These are the terms for using Snag English. Creating an account means accepting them.
What the service does
It keeps the English words you meet in conversation and asks you about them again on a spaced-repetition schedule (FSRS). The meanings, examples and questions are written by the LLM you already use — Claude, ChatGPT and the like — and this service stores them and works out the timing.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account. What happens under an account is the responsibility of whoever holds it.
You can delete your account yourself from the settings screen at any time. Doing so removes your terms and review history with it.
Free and paid
A free account holds a set number of terms. When it fills, only adding is locked — everything already saved, and every review of it, stays and keeps working.
Prices, payment and refund terms for paid plans are published separately.
What you save
The terms and examples you save are yours. The service uses them to store, to schedule reviews, and to make pronunciation audio when you ask for it.
You can export all of it as a CSV from the settings screen at any time.
What you may not do
Do not try to reach anyone else's account, harvest the service automatically or in bulk, or resell the service or its data. Do not use it to break the law.
Accounts found doing these things may be suspended or removed.
The chat is not ours
Claude, ChatGPT and other LLM clients are run by their own companies under their own terms. This service is not responsible for how they behave, whether they are available, or what they charge.
What is not promised
The service is provided as it is. Uninterrupted access is not guaranteed, data loss is not ruled out, and no learning outcome is promised.
Export a CSV and keep your own copy of anything you would mind losing.
Things change
Features and these terms may change. Significant changes are announced in the service. Continuing to use it afterwards means accepting the new version.
